Sports
A great opportunity for Scouts to begin the process of completing this Eagle required merit badge. Requirements #7b (c & d) will not be able to be completed at camp. In order to complete the merit badge Scouts will need to have completed these requirements prior to arrival at camp. Personal bikes with helmets allowed.
Cycling

Scouts will learn about the rules of the game, history, and how to play. They will also play a round of 18 holes to finish the badge. Fee will be announced by the 2 week out meeting at the latest, because it is based off the rate offered to us from the course. Scouts are welcome to bring their own set of clubs if they have them. Fee of $25.

Mountainboarding

Fishing - where Scouts can advance their skills in Fishing, Fly-Fishing, and Fish and Wildlife Management. The Fishing area is supervised by a Compete Angler Certified Instructor.
Scouts learn to identify several types of rods, reels, lures, and natural baits. Scouts demonstrate the proper use of the equipment and know when each type should be used. Scouts learn to catch fish, with an emphasis on catch and release principles and knowledge of fishing regulations.
Fishing

Scouts will demonstrate how to match a fly rod, line, and leader to achieve a balanced system. Scouts identify various types of equipment and explain when and how each should be used. Scouts demonstrate how to tie proper knots and prepare a fly rod for fishing. Scouts learn to catch fish, with an emphasis on catch and release principles and knowledge of fishing regulations.
Fly Fishing

Scouts determine the meaning and purposes of fish and wildlife conservation & management. Scouts discuss major problems that threaten their state’s fish and wildlife resources. Scouts identify and produce projects which are practical ways to help the fish and wildlife conservation locally.

Complete all three Merit Badges and participate in the Fishing Derby to earn the Complete Angler Award.
